This blog is where I’ll be documenting my journey from Brit to Calgarian, one Timbit at a time. I’ll be swapping drizzle for proper snow, motorways for mountain views, and everything familiar for a whole lot of unknown.
I’m starting this blog partly to keep friends and family in the loop, partly to help anyone else considering a similar move, and partly (let’s be honest) so future me can look back and laugh at everything I got wrong along the way.
Expect posts about the practical stuff like visas, shipping, finding somewhere to live, figuring out Canadian banking; as well as the everyday moments such as first impressions, culture shocks, homesick days, and hopefully plenty of Rocky Mountain weekends.
